Here are 10 books on running and health that I’ve read recently that I would highly recommend: 26 Marathons by Meb Keflezighi: Each chapter covers one of the 26 marathons that Meb raced competitively, and the lessons he learned from it. Thursday Night at the Crumlin Boxing Club

Thursday nights are filled with sparring from gyms of all over at the Crumlin Boxing Club (Dublin, Ireland). Headed up by 2x Irish Olympian Phil Sutcliffe Sr., the gym has had a who’s who of pro boxers come through this gym. His son, Philip Sutcliffe Jr (14-2) has also had a successful pro career. Walking in the gym, I see professional boxer Lynn Harvey, wrapping a young kid’s hands, and am welcomed by Phil Sutcliffe and Bra Brady, who I see photographed in pictures of him sparring in the 1960s. Boxing in Cork, Ireland

Cork, Ireland ??. Loved seeing this boxing wall of honor at Bishop Lucey Park of Cork fighters, honoring many such as Paddy Martin, Tommy Hyde, Mick Leahy, Jack Doyle, and Albie Murphy.

Boxing in London (2018)

Last stop in London. Had to make a quick stop by Rooney’s Boxing. Soaking up knowledge from former Commonwealth Champion and top 10 middleweight contender, Richard Williams. There’s a difference between being a great BOXER and a great TEACHER in this sport so we talked about the different ways of teaching boxing fundamentals. Thanks for having me!
