I believe that we need to get rid of the stigma behind mental illness through empathy, compassion, education and truly understanding its causes and manifestations. Everyone is affected by mental illness – whether it be a personal battle or with someone they know. I will be running the Horseshoe Lake Trail Run in Palo Alto, CA on May 6th and am raising money for D2E, a Non-Profit dedicated to erasing the stigma surrounding depression.
