The Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Half Marathon, 10K & 5K are GOING VIRTUAL (@sanfranciscohalfmarathon) and I’m joining in as an official Ambassador! Enter any of the races individually or sign up for the “Triple” Peaks Challenge to tackle all three. You’ll receive a participant shirt and medal just for signing up. Registration opens Nov. 2nd.

Ali is the most disciplined athlete I’ve ever met – he stays in shape year round and never fluctuates in weight. In this interview, we discuss his amateur career, winning the Golden Gloves, the Olympic Trials, his diet, training during Ramadan, and adapting to the current shelter-in-place.

Coach Ian – Week in Review: What I’m looking into: Levels Health: As many of you know, I’ve been experimenting with a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) to track my blood sugar levels throughout the day, tracking how it changes in response to stress, HIIT training, steady-state cardio, nutrition, fasting, and more. Well, Levels Health (not publicly available yet) has an app that monitors that data and assigns you a “metabolic health score”.
