Coach Ian – Week in Review 01/16/2022

Book I’m Reading

Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman

Mark Salgado’s next professional fight is this Friday in Sacramento!

Mark Salgado’s next opponent is Luciano Ramos, an 0-2 boxer and 8-7 MMA fighter, out of Stockton, California. But don’t be fooled by his record, he’s a tough fighter. His last fight was against Olympic alternate Charlie Sheehy. While he wasn’t ever in position to win the fight, he showed that he wasn’t just there for a paycheck and put forth a respectable effort against a 16x National Champion and elite amateur fighter.

Charlie Sheehy vs Luciano Ramos 10/16/2021 ((FULL FIGHT))

Luciano is physically strong and keeps a high guard that Charlie had a hard time breaking through to start the fight. But I expect Mark to fight Luciano in the same manner, with a high volume of punches while keeping him away with his range. Luciano can get inactive trying to walk his opponent down, and often crosses his feet while trying to inch closer. Expect him to eat a lot of leather to get to where he wants to be.
